*** Heat Pump Rebate Changes ***
Beginning January 1, 2011, qualified heat pumps must meet new standards to be eligible for rebates through the cooperative.  Any rebates submitted after January 1, 2011 must meet the new qualifications which will require the unit to meet a minimum SEER rating of Energy Star + 1, and beginning in 2012 it would require a minimum of Energy Star + 2.  For Dual Fuel Heat Pumps, this would make the minimum SEER rating of 15.5 for heat pumps installed in 2011 and a minimum SEER rating of 16.5 for units installed in 2012.  For Ground Source Heat pumps it would require an EER of 17.1 for units installed in 2011 and an EER of 19.1 for 2012.  Click here for more rebate details.
