Level Billing

Level billing is available for members who wish to pay the same amount each month.  The level billing period will run from July through the following June. Your monthly payment will be based on the average usage from the previous months.  Your average monthly bill may vary depending on which month the program is initiated.  Please contact one of Southwest Electric Cooperative's offices for assistance with figuring the monthly average.  The level billing will be re-figured in June of each year.

Members must meet the following guidelines to be eligible for the level billing program.

  • Members must be current on their bill.
  • Members must have at least 12 months service at the current location.
  • Members must have had no late payments for the past 12 months.
  • Members must have had no returned checks or insufficient ACH payments for the past 12 months.

Members participating in the level billing program will go into collections and may become subject for disconnection if:

  • The budget amount is not paid, even if the account has a credit balance.
  • The member's account has a returned check or insufficient ACH payment.

If an account is disconnected for non-payment, it will be removed from the level billing program.

Members may also participate in the automatic bank draft option with the level billing program.  With these options, the same amount would be electronically transferred from your banking account each month.
